Story: Romantic Interlude

Mood Music:  "Hold My Heart" - Lindsey Stirling

Characters:  Stormrunner, Brushblaze

--------------------------------------------------

Brushblaze purred as her back hit the wall of the recharge bay.  Everyone else was currently topside, and it had seemed a perfect time to entice her closest friend.  Stormrunner had been stretched thinner than usual with their severely depleted energon stores.  He made sure to keep everyone else properly fueled and often went without when no one was watching.  In fact, Brushblaze was pretty sure the only other person who knew was Knockout.  Surely, as a medic, he couldn't miss the strained sounds of Stormrunner's engines.

He'd clearly been needing this.  Roughly pushing aside her chest plates, Stormrunner plugged into the port located next to her closed spark chamber.  He didn't accept a reciprocal cable from her.  The merge would be entirely one-sided, and that thought thrilled Brushblaze.  He really needed this.

As the first burst of energy crackled into her systems, she groaned and let her optics go offline.  He hauled up one of her legs to hook around his hip, bringing them closer together, until she could feel the heat of his spark, even through their closed chambers.  Stormrunner growled something in beast language, but despite it being her native tongue, she couldn't understand it.  Everything was fuzzy and wonderful as he continued to pour frustrated energy through their connection.

Her talons locked onto his broad shoulders where his wings would unfurl when he transformed into his alt mode.  In root, it made him bulky in a way she found utterly enticing.  Strong.  Clever.  He could win this war, even though they had lost their Prime.  He'd tangled with Megatron himself a few times and had lived to tell the tale.  Well, she had on his behalf.  Stormrunner, much like Optimus, never boasted.  It was another thing she found attractive about him.

Hissing, Stormrunner wrapped an arm around her waist, hauling her still closer to his frame.  His other servo landed on the wall beside her head, talons digging in and leaving deep furrows in the packed dirt.  The energy exchange was picking up in intensity.  Data packets were now streaming across the hardline connection.  She unraveled them and found his frustration, determination, a certain degree of helplessness that left her reeling in shock, and a ruthless vengeance.  Normally, she'd soothe him with her own data packets, but right now, Brushblaze let herself submit and receive all he had to give.
